Every coach needs to display the main coaching competencies to be considered successful at their job. Here is what you need to know about coaching competencies and how you can apply them successfully for the best results.

1. General Competencies

• Understanding and following the ethical guidelines as well as the published standards in the coaching niche.

• Creating a clear distinction between process and content of the client’s issue such as what the issue might be specifically and how to represent it.

• Always working continuously to give the client more choices than they have been presented with currently.

2. Knowledge

• Clearly requests actions that will allow the client to achieve their goals.
